Accessibility by car : The A1 is the main motorway to the island of Fehmarn. At the end of the motorway you reach the town of Heiligenhafen, from where you can reach the island of Fehmarn via the Fehmarnsund Bridge.
Accessibility by train : The nearest train station is in Lübeck (Lübeck HBF). From the central bus station Lübeck you can take the X85 bus - towards Puttgarden - to Fehmarn Burg. The journey time is about 1 hour and 36 minutes. From Fehmarn Burg you can take the 591 bus to the Fehmarn Kurzentrum (about 4 minutes from the IFA Fehmarn Hotel-Ferien-Centrum), journey time about 12 minutes. Note: There will be no direct train service to Fehmarn until 2029.
Air travel : The nearest airport is Lübeck Airport (LBC), approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes (106 km) away by car. By ferry : To reach the IFA Fehmarn Hotel & Ferien-Centrum by ferry, you can take the Scandlines ferry from Rødby in Denmark to Puttgarden. The ferry ride takes about 45 minutes and runs every 30 minutes during peak season, with reduced service in low season. Puttgarden is located at the northern end of the island of Fehmarn and is easily accessible by car from major German cities. The hotel, located on the west side of the island, is only about 10 kilometers from the ferry terminal.
